Although I enjoy writing engaging novels for students and learners of Spanish, short stories are where I feel most at home. They come more easily to me and allow for greater focus and control. Eres Perfecto (level 1+) – This story highlights a love interest and overcoming an insecurity. It’s been a heartwarming favorite for a while.
La obsesión digital (level 2+)- A young family is obsessed with their cell phones until grandma comes to visit from Barranquilla and shoes them the real meaning of family.
La cita inolvidable (level 3+) – A young man goes on a date with someone he met online. This date goes outrageously awry (very funny).

My personal favorite is Filomena está aburrida. Here’s the Youtube story that me and my students read, which led to me reaching to the author and DEMANDING a story.
